Things I Love to Do

One thing I've come to love about ADHD, is that it's a great gateway into new hobbies. You watch one reel on your phone and suddenly, you're researching everything you need to know about sewing. To make dolls clothes of course. Naturally. Let's just say, I've yet to complete an item and I have more scraps of fabric than I would like to admit... And I've always been a bit like that over the years. But thankfully, there are hobbies that just stick with me, and when the mood arises, I get to jump back into them!

A lot of the hobbies I have seem to be related to anything that fuels my creativity. I have always been an artsy person. I have enjoyed creating art and I have enjoyed viewing art. Ever since I was litle I had been drawing. There was many a math worksheet with an stylized eye in the corner. And even when its not necessarily art that I am creating, I manage to find a way to incorporate it into my other hobbies. For example, if a game has a character creator, you know your girl is going to go through it in depth! And, I will prioritize the fit over my stats. Or sometimes, I just like to stop and look around the game, because video games can be beautiful! And then, that'll inspire me to whip out the art supplies and draw my silly little drawings. I will say, I do got to lock in and do some more technical studies to improve my art skills. But until then, I might try to enjoy making art instead of fretting over how much I should improve.

I have some more hobbies that stem from my need to be creative. Some of them have to do with media, and I think I will share more about that in another page. You can head to the nav up there and read it after you're done here. And maybe you'll think, "wow, that girl sure made a lovely navigation section, she is so good at HTML and CSS." ;) Anyway, I also LOVE playing dress up. You've already heard how I am in video games, and to no suprise to most people, I love dressing in real life too. I adore making a fit and doing my makeup! Not so much my hair though, but I will learn to do cool hairstyles someday. And unfortunately, I do enjoy some shopping. Thankfully, I'm responsible as I love saving money more than I love spending it. But ooooo catch me at a thrift store and I fear I will be scanning through the clothes, dolls, books, and CDs. I wish I could say I loved baking as a hobby, but I actually hate baking. It's so stressful. But it's so yummy and looks lovely! Oh well, at least I can still eat those baked goods.
